Exiled businessman Mikhail Khodorkovsky at a public hearing of the European Parliment told to MEPs: Russia has recruited allies in Angela Merkel’s German chancellor’s “inner circle” so as in the Austrian intelligence services.
One of the earliest and most well known Russian ologarch, Khodorkovsky with his UK-based pro-democracy NGO, The Dossier Centre published in a 60-page report made available to MEPs via a secure website.
The report details how a wider pro-Kremlin network ouf EU member states work including Czech Republic, Cyprus, France, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland and Hungary.
Khodorkovsky explained how a circle of pro-Russia MEP were built and where were attempts in the recent years from France to Cyprus to intervene with national politics with Russian interests and financed actions.
