FedEx Express, the world’s largest provider of express transportation services, has inaugurated another facility in Kielce, southern Poland, its sixth in the country.

Since 2020, the company has initiated, modernized, or constructed 12 facilities across six countries in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). In Poland alone, newly established facilities can be found in Gdansk, Torun, Kalisz, and Jelenia Gora.

Situated at the exit of the S7 motorway, the location has easy access to Poland, Europe, and Katowice Airport, a hub for shipping to Asian and North American markets.

FedEx Express Vice President Ground Operations Eastern Europe Mariusz Mik said: “Our dedication to creating fresh opportunities, eliminating obstacles to success, and devising solutions that empower our customers remains unwavering, even after over 50 years in the industry.

“The ongoing investments in infrastructure and the enhancement of our air and road networks underscore our steadfast commitment to delivering unparalleled service and adapting to the evolving needs of our customers,” he added.

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp, said it has been actively expanding its presence in CEE due to its above-average economic growth rates and developmental potential.

Covering an expansive area exceeding 2,600 square meters, the new Kielce facility comprises a warehouse and office complex.

Couriers use 40 gates for courier vehicles and 5 for linehaul trucks. An automated sorter enables the simultaneous scanning and weighing of up to 2,000 parcels. A warehouse section with a specialised scale and scanner meanwhile handles large freight shipments.
